The Eerie Horror Film Festival takes place each October at the historic Warner Theater in Erie, Pennsylvania.

The Eerie Horror Film Festival was established in order to provide more opportunities and exposure for filmmakers and screenwriters working within the horror, science fiction and suspense genres, as well as to draw more attention to the Northwestern Pennsylvania region via our annual film festival and other, year round special events.

Our organization hopes to provide an educational and entertaining visual experience for the attendees of the Eerie Horror Film Festival, which will showcase and celebrate the diversity of the projects submitted to our competition based event each year.

We also hope to establish a forum for filmmakers, where novices and seasoned veterans alike can interact and learn from one another, as well as from our array of special celebrity guests and industry professionals.

Since its debut in October of 2004, the Eerie Horror Film Festival has quickly become one of the most popular and respected events of its kind in the world.

Each year the Eerie Horror Film Festival attracts thousands of fans, filmmakers and screenwriters to the city of Erie, Pennsylvania, for a four day celebration of independent cinema, featuring special celebrity guests, screenings and workshops.

The competition based event opens its call for entries each season on Halloween day and accepts film and screenplay submissions from all around the world, with a special discount for students 10 – 17 years of age.

Over 400 films have been shown at the festival since its inception, including several world premieres and movies that eventually secured distribution deals with major companies.

With their current and ever expanding contacts, the Eerie Horror Film Festival hopes to play an active role in connecting their filmmakers and screenwriters directly with those within the industry.

Over the years the Eerie Horror Film Festival has also hosted and/or promoted appearances by rock legends Alice Cooper, Heaven & Hell (with Ronnie James Dio – RIP), Nine Inch Nails, The Misfits, Judas Priest, Motorhead, Blue Oyster Cult, Foghat, Adam Lambert, Here Come the Mummies, G Tom Mac and others. The Eerie Horror Fest hopes to actively bring in more rock and roll to the region each season!

The Eerie Horror and Best Card Games Film Festival has also been involved with bringing celebrities, including legendary director John Waters and the infamous Andy Dick, to our local area in conjunction with other organizations.

Fans can meet their favorite stars, buy horror related merchandise and converse with film company representatives at the Carnival of Carnage Expo, held in conjunction with our film screenings during the weekend of the Fest.

The Eerie Horror Film Festival has donated a percentage of their ticket and merchandise sales to Make-A-Wish and has made a sizable donation to The Second Harvest Food Bank in past years.

The Festival hopes that their efforts continue to attract attention, tourism and economic impact to the Erie County area and that they can provide an even bigger and better event for attendees each and every year.
